How Do I Transfer My Domain to or Away From SaveMyService?
Whether you're bringing a domain to us or moving one away, domain transfers are a normal part of managing your account. Here's how each direction works.
Transferring a domain to us
Contact us and let us know which domain you'd like to transfer in.
We'll guide you through the transfer process step by step.
A domain transfer automatically adds one year to the registration term, and the first year's transfer is $35.
Transferring a domain away from us
Contact us and let us know you'd like to transfer your domain to another registrar.
We'll provide you with the domain's auth/EPP key, which your new registrar will need to complete the transfer.
Follow your new registrar's instructions to submit the transfer using that key.
A few things to know
Domain transfers can take up to 7 days to complete on either end — it's not instant. If there are issues with the transfer, it will take longer. We don't recommend trying to move a domain with less than 30 days until expiration.
If your domain is also used for email hosting with us, let us know your plans ahead of time so we can make sure your mail keeps flowing during the transfer.
