Our Acceptable Use Policy — What's Allowed and What's Not

Our services are meant to support legitimate, everyday email use for individuals and businesses. This article gives a plain-language overview of what's expected — our full Terms of Use governs the complete details.

What's allowed

Normal personal and business email use — sending and receiving messages, using your mailbox with the email clients and apps of your choice, and everything else covered under your service plan.

What's not allowed

  • Sending spam or unsolicited bulk email through your account or mailbox.

  • Abusive or illegal use of the service, including anything used to harass, defraud, or violate the law.

  • Any activity that could compromise the security or reliability of our systems or other customers' service.

What happens if these are violated

Accounts found spamming, being used for abusive or illegal purposes, or otherwise violating our Terms of Use are subject to suspension. See our "What Could Cause My Account to Be Suspended?" article in this section for more on how that process works.
