If you're wondering what happens to your mailbox and its contents after you cancel your service, here's what to expect.
When your account is cancelled, your mailbox — including all stored email — is deleted. We don't keep cancelled mailboxes active indefinitely.
If you cancel and later change your mind, we can often restore a deleted mailbox for a $150 restoration fee, typically within about 20 days of deletion. After that window, recovery may not be possible.
If there's any chance you'll want your email history later, we strongly recommend downloading or backing up anything important before cancelling — either by exporting from your email client or saving copies of messages you want to keep.
